Ocean room

Hi, I’m Desiree I have been with the centre since 2010, I have a master’s in special education needs and a grad Diploma in Early Childhood Studies.
I was born in the USA and prior to arriving in Australia in 2002 I lived in Vietnam, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, Austria, and Belgium.
In my other life I was a banker and international student.
My interests include, traveling, skiing, and playing pickleball.
I am a member of a community garden and enjoy growing my own vegetables.
I have a dog named Molly – a chocolate Labrador. Molly and I walk elderly citizens’ dogs after work together.
Hi there, and may I introduce myself. I’m Paul and I grew up in Kew and Doncaster, and at the age of 22 got the travel bug, spending several years travelling between Europe & Australia (mainly working in ski resorts). Back in Australia my wife and I spent 5 years in Sydney, followed by 24 years in London. I have 3 grown up sons, living in London. I’ve had a very varied and interesting life with a number of different careers, including an apprenticeship as a chef, managing a chocolate factory and a restaurant, a couple of seasons ski instructing, 3 cake/sandwich shops, 13 years in building construction, and a garden design/maintenance business (they say that variety is the spice of life), and now 10 years in Child Care which I’m loving.
When I’m not in a room full of very lively children, I enjoy the peace & tranquillity of fishing from my kayak out on Port Phillip or Western Port bays. I love getting away with my lovely French partner, for stays in Airbnb’s all over Victoria.
My name is Ramesh. I am originally from the North of Iran, a beautiful city called Rasht (it pretty much has the same weather as Melbourne!). I migrated to Australia with my family in late 2008 and I joined the Deep Creek Centre shortly after in 2009. I have a son named Kashi and a daughter named Anna. My family was expanded in 2019 when my daughter married, and we welcomed a son-in-law. My daughter has a toy poodle. His name is Theo, and whenever she is a way, I look after him (he is the cutest dog ever!). I love travelling around the world, and always look forward to going home to visit my Mum. I love going for walks every day and if I have any spare time, I use it to bake or cook for my family. My favourite activities are yoga and Pilates. I find them so calming and relaxing. Both my husband and son are builders, so we tend to move house every year. Don’t be surprised if one day I become your neighbour! Finally, I want to say how much I love working with your children! They bring so much joy and happiness to our centre!
I am Afsheen, I have been working at Deep Creek childcare since 2019.  I left my home country Pakistan in 1999 and was fortunate enough to live in four continents and in 2015 we made Melbourne our home. I have three kids aged 20, 17, 13, I love nature and try to take every opportunity to spend time with family in the outdoors.
Hi, I’m Vicky, a mother of two school age boys. I’ve worked in early childhood education for 5 years total and for the past year, I’ve been here at Deep Creek, where I’ve learned that patience, play, and presence make all the difference. Each day has been a mix of storytime, snack spills, and tiny triumphs. I’ve grown more observant and creative at turning ordinary moments into learning opportunities. Most of all, I’ve gained a deep respect for how much we can learn from little ones—if we’re willing to slow down and listen.
Hi, my name is Tamara, I have thoroughly enjoyed working at DCCC for the past 15 years. During this time, I have studied and completed my Diploma in Early Childhood, and this has supported me with the 3 to 5 year olds that I currently work with. I am passionate about working with children and seeing them grow and develop and become prepared for school.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner Tom and our families for dinners/get togethers.
We love to go on long walks together and enjoy nature and going away on weekends to bush walk or relax on the beach. I also love singing. My partner is a musician so sometimes we jam at home or I get up and sing a few songs as a guest singer at his gigs.
I am Julie, I have been working at Deep Creek for 19 years. Before I moved to Melbourne in 1998, I lived in Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Sydney and New Zealand. I have a husband, two sons and two daughters in law, and a grandson.
When I’m not at work I enjoy playing tennis, singing in a choir and learning Japanese and line dancing at U3A (University of the third age). I have previously worked as a volunteer for Doncare for the last 20 years. I enjoy helping others.
