River room

My name is Hedyeh (Heidi), and I am the 3-year-old Kindergarten teacher in the river room. I have been working in the Early Childhood field for 18 years, as an educator, team leader and teacher. I aim to meet children where they are and, build trusting relationships with them, and facilitate their learning in a safe and fun environment. I speak both English and Farsi and enjoy learning about different cultures. In my spare time, I like reading novels, watching movies, and cooking and baking with my husband.
Hi, my name is Tamara, I have thoroughly enjoyed working at DCCC for the past 15 years. During this time, I have studied and completed my Diploma in Early Childhood, and this has supported me with the 3 to 5 year olds that I currently work with. I am passionate about working with children and seeing them grow and develop and become prepared for school.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my partner Tom and our families for dinners/get togethers.
We love to go on long walks together and enjoy nature and going away on weekends to bush walk or relax on the beach. I also love singing. My partner is a musician so sometimes we jam at home or I get up and sing a few songs as a guest singer at his gigs.
